One-Act Play Festivals, 2010Once again, Chads hopes to enter a play in the GMDF festival – and one or two others by the way – to be held during the summer of 2010. The play is Charnworth Booksellers, by Stephen Bellamy, winner of the first prize in the Nottingham and District Drama Association play-writing competition in 2000. Our previous entries, by Harold Pinter (2009), Arthur Miller (2008) and Brantley Aufill (2007) have met with considerable success. Now, we urgently need the following:- A director; Two male actors (one younger, one older man); Stage crew (to stage manage, assist with props, lighting and sound, etc).
If you would like further information, scripts are available now from Derek Slater or John Smeathers. John also has the dates and the venues for the festivals we would like to attend.
You can also download the script to read by going to www.storymania.com, select ‘The Authors’, select ‘B’ at the bottom of the screen and then find ‘Stephen Bellamy’ |
