Brief Encounter by Noel Coward and adapted by Emma Rice

Most of you will remember the iconic 1945 film of “Brief Encounter“, directed by David Lean and starring Celia Johnson, Trevor Howard and Stanley Holloway. The classic black and white movie dealt with a love affair of a married woman and a stranger she met at a railway station in a way that captured the imagination of the British public.

Sixty years later, Emma Rice & Kneehigh Theatre have adapted Noel Coward’s film script (originally from his play Still Life) in a really imaginative way, with film and music mixed in with the action, to create a heart warming piece of theatre; and now Rachmaninov comes to Chads… don’t miss it!
