Pack of Lies

Pack of Lies is based on a true story. An apparently ordinary Canadian couple, Peter and Helen Kroger, living in the suburbs of London, are exposed by MI5 as Russian spies. The plot centres on the Jackson family, Bob and Barbara, and their teenage daughter Julie, who live in a house directly opposite the Krogers. The couples have become great friends since the Krogers arrived but then out of the blue the Jacksons are visited by MI5 who use their home for the surveillance of the Krogers house. Gradually the full extent of the betrayal by the Krogers is revealed but the presence of MI5 and the realisation of the Krogers true purposes place great strain upon the Jacksons, whose lives are never the same again.
This production will be performed in the studio on the first floor, which is accessed by a flight of stairs.

Get Involved
Chads is run entirely by volunteer members and we are always on the look out for more people to join us. Even if being on stage is not your thing, there are a huge range of activities you can become involved with.
Chads Theatre was founded just after the First World War as Cheadle Hulme Amateur Dramatic Society, performing in different venues in the Cheadle Hulme area. In October 1959 the members opened their own premises and have continued to develop the Theatre ever since, providing a first class venue for its members and patrons. We currently perform six main stage and two studio plays each season, and the theatre and its members are the recipients of many awards.
